Job Summary:
The Lead MRI Technologist is responsible for overseeing the operation of advanced MRI equipment to ensure high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. The role includes performing MRI exams, adhering to safety protocols, training staff, and maintaining equipment efficiency while providing compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Follows routine protocols and refers to the doctor's exam requisition to ensure the correct exam is performed.
- Efficiently performs and completes each exam in the appropriate time frame, with minimal inactive scanner utilization.
- Fulfills all MRI Safety measures required by the Joint Commission and participates in ongoing training for staff enrichment.
- Demonstrates an ability to enhance the MRI image quality, perform post-processing of image data, and accurately edit/completes the correct exam, including all supplies, to ensure correct charge capture.
- Performs quality and compassionate patient care, ensuring cooperation, safety, and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiology program.
- Minimum two years of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience with highly developed and advanced technical skills.
- Proficient in advanced MRI imaging techniques and demonstrates exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Must meet the performance expectations as defined in the MRI Technologist 3 position description.
