- 1. Maintain accurate patient information within IS/RIS System.
- 2. Complete all necessary forms, including history, pre/post-procedure, and requisition documents.
- 3. Report any malfunctions of equipment to the manager or Bio-Med department.
- 4. Utilize extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to properly position patients for diagnostic yield.
- 5. Interview patients to gather relevant clinical data from charts, alerting staff to potential contradictions for procedures.
- 6. Operate highly complex radiographic equipment, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality images using the A.L.A.R.A. standard.
- 7. Perform various clerical duties, including verification of information and exams performed.
- 8. Attend required safety training programs and describe general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
- Must be a graduate of an approved two-year program in Radiology Technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligible within 3 months of hire.
- Requires a minimum of one year of experience; new graduates considered.
- Must possess RI license and ARRT certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
