Position Focus :
This position, reporting to the Associate Director of Workday Operations, will be a member of the Financial Systems and Solutions team, which provides strategic advice, day-to-day system support, and on-the-ground support for business process improvement and optimization initiatives. The primary focus will be as an expert resource on Workday Finance, providing advanced business systems analysis, technical expertise, and strategic support to drive solutions that align with the organization’s overall business strategies.
The Business Systems Analyst 4 is expected to have deep expertise in the Workday platform, preferably holding Workday Financials Pro certification. This role performs thorough technical evaluations, makes well-informed recommendations based on subject matter expertise, and executes system configuration based on functional requirements. Activities include Workday Business Process design, implementation, and maintenance; configuring calculated fields; assigning and maintaining complex security roles / access; and performing complex technical analyses, including integrations, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) tasks, and troubleshooting production issues.
The person in this role will function as a senior analyst, mentoring junior team members and acting as a liaison between IT and functional users. They will also serve as a subject matter expert on project teams implementing new functionality and partner with other Finance / IT units to test configuration changes, secure stakeholder sign-off, and support reporting efforts related to Workday.
Collaboration with stakeholders will be essential to document requirements, define system scope and objectives, and oversee the development and implementation of new requirements and plans. This role will establish system quality assurance practices, verify solutions, and contribute to strategic planning efforts by providing insight into future system needs.
This position requires a high degree of independence, the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges, and a commitment to delivering impactful solutions that drive organizational success.
Essential Duties
1. Serve as the senior lead analyst for large, complex business systems; provide mentoring, coaching to project team members; provide training & development to new team Identify business systems or process solution requirements by interviewing clients; analyzing work processes and operations; establish solution objectives; evaluate systems functionality to identify gaps; evaluating the solution impact. 3. Lead the process to document business requirements to include sign-off by Oversee and manage the implementation of new requirements and plans; provide insight to system strategic planning; develop and establish best practices. 5. Verify business system solutions; oversee the development and implementation of test plans; overall system quality assurance; develop testing standards. 6. Participate in the development of communication plans for system changes; determine timeline for the dissemination of communications and the support and resource requirements associated with each change. 7. Prepare cost estimates; identify resource allocations and equipment costs; plan project post-development support model.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and seven years of experience or equivalent education and experience.

Workday Financials Pro Certification. Proven experience implementing and managing large-scale ERP systems and business intelligence platforms for large, diverse and distributed stakeholder groups in Higher Education.
