Position Focus :
Plan and Deliver IT Initiatives : Collaborate with executives, faculty, and IT teams to implement advanced technology projects in biomedical and health informatics, integrating systems, software, and data solutions across the School of Medicine, Biomedical Informatics, and Yale New Haven Health System.
Establish Project Frameworks : Develop meeting agendas, project charters, action plans, and key performance indicators for technology initiatives in biomedical and health sciences.
Create Communication Materials : Produce presentations, briefing documents, and communication plans to support technology initiatives.
Advise on Training and Change Management : Guide stakeholders in adopting new technology and innovations through tailored training and change management efforts.
Transition Projects to Operations : Ensure successful handoff of completed technology projects to operations and maintenance teams across the School of Medicine or Health Sciences IT.
Design Secure Solutions : Collaborate with stakeholders, information security, and IT teams to capture and document engineering solutions aligned with research objectives and university policies.
Report on IT Portfolio Progress : Contribute to status reports and communications for the Health Sciences IT portfolio, ensuring transparency and alignment across the health campus.
Job Responsibilities :
Collaborate to review routine project plans and proposals and develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project.
Communicate project scope, goals, and responsibilities to project team; establish clear stakeholder expectations, and requirements of varying degrees of complexity.
Coordinate and perform technical aspects of project, research issues.
Review, evaluate, and monitor cost schedule and technical scope baselines.
Ensure the preparation and delivery of required project documentation.
Prepare and provide project status updates.
Essential Duties
1. Oversee and manage moderately complex projects; with one or more critical IT components; responsible for the planning, defining the scope, formulating the budget, implementation, communication, tracking and Assess and manage issues; responsible for the resolution of all issues; prepare impact analysis statements and manage the change request process. 3. Ensure projects are delivered on-time, with expected scope and within defined Participate in the development of effective processes and Coordinate, resolve, or assist in resolution of conflicts and other issues within and between project teams and recommend / provide May mentor level 2 team members.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
