YAMA at LoSo is a premier, upscale casual Japanese restaurant in the new, up and coming Lower Southend area. We focus on traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist. We are looking to build a team that consists of individuals who are friendly, energetic, and ambitious for the server position. You must have a positive attitude and work well in fast-paced environments. We offer flexible scheduling for both part-time and full-time work.
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take and process orders accurately using POS systems, such as Toast.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages while adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage cash register transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any guest inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining and bar areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service roles
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Proficiency in POS systems, particularly Toast
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in fine dining and culinary settings is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
