Job Summary This position is responsible for all corporate planning activities and to assist with all data processing activities. The position is in charge of all computer related activities throughout the facility as well as budget/cost control.
Essential Functions
- Supports and maintains system, training writing procedures, setup/utilizations/performance for all modules; assists all Associates with technical advice, maintains and updates system modules, data collection training and support.
- Supports software usage including operating systems, business applications, and Solarsoft system
- Supports network systems, setup/configuration, training reporting, charting, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Administers budget control system for general and manufacturing purchases.
- Supports company hardware, network servers, computers, printers, etc.
- Supports physical inventory control.
- Manages computer system security and protection, performs system back up and disaster prevention activities.
- Maintains system security information, user IDs, passwords, file permissions, secures all new and repaired computer equipment and software.
Other Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials.
- Maintains a clean working environment.
- Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.
- Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.
Requirements
Requirements
Education Degree in computer science/networking or related field preferred.
Experience This position requires 3-5 years' experience in a computer related field within a manufacturing facility.
Skills This position requires specific knowledge of computer hardware repair and maintenance skills, proficiency in all Microsoft Windows/Office 365 and general ERP systems. Additionally, customer service and interpersonal skills are needed.
Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to work in a climate-controlled office as well as a hot plant environment, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
Travel This position requires occasional travel. A valid driver's license is required for use of the company car.
