Position Summary

- Others work in quality control, inspecting products and processes, conducting tests, or collecting data.
- They may assist in product design, development, or production.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support and conduct all development tests which include endurance test and bench testing of vehicles.
- Assembling and disassembling the test units for evaluation.
- Write report to communicate all test criteria and findings.
- Performs endurance and performance testing for all vehicles per test procedures and criteria.
- This will include riding the vehicles off-shore in rough water ocean conditions.
- Conducts post-test disassembly, evaluation and prepares information to be used in determining results and completing reports.
- Assist in the set-up and completion of bench test.
- This includes designing and constructing temporary test fixtures and equipment as required.
- Maintains all test and evaluation equipment.
- Maintains all work areas according to Yamaha 5S standards.
- Able to comply with all company rules and policies.
- Capable of working with nominal direction and supervision.
Education / Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of in-depth Water Vehicle, ATV or Off-road motorcycle riding experience preferred.
- Lift truck driving ability is required.
- Must be capable of driving a truck while pulling a trailer in the transportation of the test vehicles per DOT age and health requirements.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, along with working in a team environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to trouble shoot machinery preferred.
- Fabrication skills using basic shop equipment.
- Computer skills necessary for report writing and documentation.
- Must be able to swim at an above average level in fresh and/or salt water (if supporting water vehicle product line)
- Extensive Travel required.
