Job Responsibilities:
- Treat all Yamaha industrial wastewater to meet County Permit requirements, perform laboratory jar testing, as needed, to optimize wastewater treatment system.
- Coordinate chemical ordering and inventory for wastewater treatment, perform biweekly composite and grab samples for County reports.
- Conduct analytical spot check tests of pH, oil and grease, and metals, prepare biweekly sample paperwork and coordinate pickup of samples with third-party lab.
- Coordinate batch industrial wastewater discharges from each Department to WWT, monitor daily discharge and pH, to ensure permit requirements are met.
- Calibrate discharge flow meter, and pH probes on regular schedule, facilitate daily, weekly or annual Coweta County Water Department Inspections.
- Coordinate and maintain hazardous waste storage and shipments (RCRA).
- Ensure required inspections, documentation and records are created as required by regulatory and/or company policy.
- Coordinate equalization pit clean-outs with environmental engineer, 5S and AM of all wastewater mechanical equipment.
- Manage multiple tasks and requests from outside departments, coordinate daily activities with EHS staff & assists and supports EHS programs, ISO 14001.
- Loading of recycling trailers with baled and boxed recyclable materials, resolve logistical recycling matters, with both vendors and YMMC employees.
- Maintain log of full and empty recycling trailers on-site.
- Direct employees on proper segregation and disposal of waste and recyclable materials, separation of co-mingled recyclable materials (i.e. cardboard attached to pallets).
- Breakdown of large unnecessary items for cost efficient use of container space, Operation, autonomous maintenance and 5S of the trash compactor(s) and balers used.
- Coordinate container removal with Waste Management and other recycling outlets, Auditing of recycling program, and tracking of waste disposal and recyclable materials, report non-conformance of material segregation and waste removal procedures to Supervisor.
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good problem solving skills and ability to work in team environment.
- Basic computer literacy(MS-Word and MS-Excel)
Physical Requirements:

- Current holder or ability to obtain GA State Industrial Wastewater Treatment License
- Knowledge of paint process and chemicals with lab testing and sampling experience
- Ability to operate forklift, use small hand tools and welding torch
- Plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical knowledge
