Purpose of the Role:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Distribution Operations Manager and/or Operations Director, the Supply Chain 3PL Planner will be responsible for balancing the inventory within all the 3PL and Yamamotoyama Finished Goods warehouses ensuring to meet OTIF (On Time – In Full) and Freight goals by analyzing daily inventories and following the sales demand and forecasts.

Essential Functions and Job Duties:
General Duties:
Warehouse Administration Operations:
Finish Goods Inventory Accuracy at all warehouses including:
- Daily inventory of products at 3PLs and Yamamotoyama updated in the ERP system.
- Daily inventory levels by SKU and location
- Monthly inventory reconciliation and discrepancies investigation and resolution.
- Manage Skus for 3PLs, including the setup and discontinuation of new goods.
- Creating and maintaining all new and existing warehouse sites in X3
- Finish Goods Inventory Balance at all warehouses including:
- Manage inventory levels at 3PL locations to maintain sufficient inventory of finished goods to meet customer demand without exceeding warehousing cost (Min / Max levels) by sky and location.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the inventory on hand to minimize long-term inventory expenses by SKU and location.
- Analyze inventory vis demand to coordinate transfers of finished goods to the 3PL sites from Yamamotoyama, 3PLs, Co-manufacturers, and Co-packers.
- Work hand in hand with the planning team, providing feedback on inventory levels at 3PL and Yamamotoyama vs demand.
- Question and provide feedback to 3PLs when inventory requests are beyond the expected demand.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of shortages and OTIF below expectation.
- Coordinate all copacker and co-manufacturer inventory replenishment and control orders and receipts.
- Finish Good Inventory Reconciliation:
- Work with Accounting to reconcile inventory between X3 and 3PL systems.
- Review inventory transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Troubleshoot 3PL and YU / Stash inventory count to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in Fiscal Year End Inventory count.
- Complete any other projects or assignments as the Supply Chain / Distribution team needs.
Reporting:
- Be familiar with all the documentation required to perform his/her role and complete all the necessary documentation as needed
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) -
High Comprehension of established S.O.P’s.

Maintain effective communication with other members of the organization.

Discuss with the Direct Supervisor/Manager any situations that affect the department’s goal attainment and suggest solutions.

Assure all employees, visitors, suppliers, and vendors are always treated in a professional and respectful manner.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures as directed by management.
- Before starting your regular work, search your working area 360 degrees for unsafe conditions and report to your direct lead or supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures, PPEs, food safety standards and company policies.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules.
- Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, gloves, arch flash equipment, etc…) adequate for the specific assigned tasks.
Quality Control:
- Follow quality control measures to ensure that all outgoing shipments meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Report any quality issues or discrepancies promptly and follow corrective action procedures.
- Adhere to quality standards to ensure product quality and Food Safety by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Attends Food Safety/Quality training sessions.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining respective work areas.
KPIs and Reporting
- Follow and report daily, weekly, monthly, and annual KPIs as directed by Supervisor and or Manager.
System Responsibility
X3 and 3PL Systems:
- Input and maintain X3 and 3PL transactions as needed.
- Execute and monitor X3 activities by running key reports to assure accuracy. In the event of a discrepancy, errors must be resolved or re-directed to appropriate personnel.
- Serve as a trainer within the department for applicable X3 and 3PL systems.
- Process data in the system according to processes and SOPs.
Other Duties
- Work closely with management to execute projects.
- Assist in various areas when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in other supply chain projects as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned by department management.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- General Qualifications:
- Demonstrated two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
- High school Diploma with a Supply Chain Certification or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, warehousing,or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office bundle of software.
- Knowledge
- Microsoft Office and business intelligence software
- Sales & Operations planning cycles, processes, and best practices.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for Food Manufacturing processes
- Skills
- Communicates (verbally and written) with a high level of professionalism.
- Multi-tasking with strong time-management skills.
- Highly organized.
- Computer literacy- Proficiency in Microsoft Office bundle, SOPs.
- Building a dashboard to understand demand and supply planning better
- Ability to effectively train and develop others through the use of training tools, SOPs, sign-offs, etc

Physical Requirements:
For the role of Supply Chain 3PL Planner, some physical demands may include:
- Warehouse office environment: due to the materials used, there is exposure to dusty materials and utilization of standard warehouse equipment, which includes forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

The annual pay range for this full-time position is $70,000 - $75,000. Our pay ranges are guided by the discipline, level, and experience required. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including your specific location, desired skills/ technical competency, relevant experience, and advanced education/ training.
