What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Technician position at Yanfeng Automotive?
Job Summary:
Plan, coordinate, and direct all tool room functions to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Essential functions of the job:
- Troubleshoot problems with injection molds.
- Repair, fix and implement engineering changes of molds.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Make fixture details.
- Communicate with outside vendors when outsourcing.
- Work with various departments to implement customer concerns.
- Ensure the effective implementation of TS 16949 standards.
- Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
Required Education:
- Technical School Equivalent work experience may also be considered for this position.
Required qualifications:
- 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience with Mechanical or Process Engineering and Injection Molding.
- Journeyman Toolmaker Certification.
- 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
- Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
