Job Description:

Implement security measures to ensure the safe and secure operation of AAAF and directs others in security functions. Direct officers in the performance of basic police duties.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age, English language fluency, fit and able to perform assigned duties, poses thorough knowledge of security installation programs and be able to write security instructions. Three years minimum experience and obtain and maintain a secret DOD security clearance. Implement security requirements per DD Form 254. Must be able to work overseas on Ascension Island and may not bring any dependents on island during employment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Exercise authority as set forth under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) to perform security duties and policing functions detailed in the UCMJ and in Title 18 USC on AAAF to the extent permitted by the Agreement Between The governments of The United States Of America, The United Kingdom Of Great Britain And Northern Ireland Concerning The Extension Of The Bahamas Long Range Proving Ground By The Establishment Of Additional Sites In Ascension Island (Bahamas Agreement).
• Supervise and direct security personnel to carry out general and specific assignments.
• Operate, maintain, and manage ESS.
• Ensure unarmed security force provides 24/7 operations and must be uniformed to distinguish them as security officers.
• Enforce superior officer’s orders are followed in accordance and in compliance with established rules and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining order, enforces laws and ordinances and protects life and property by performing and/or supervising required duties.
• Responsible for patrolling areas on foot or in a vehicle, directing traffic, issuing traffic summonses, investigating accidents, apprehending and arresting suspects, processing prisoners, and protecting crime scenes.
• Assure compliance with security requirements as stated in the DD Form 254.
• Assure a log of daily chronological security blotter (AF Form 53) records all security activities and incidents. The log will be made available to the Ascension Base Commander and/or COR upon request.
• Provide reporting function in compliance with SOW.
• Controls assignment of security access to restricted areas.
• Ensure protection of classified information.
• Implements methods to ensure all keys/key cards are issued to authorized persons and are accounted for.
• Ensure Lock Combinations are secured and not revealed to unauthorized persons.
• Assure government equipment, materials and facilities are safeguarded.
• Establish and maintain a Priority Response Matrix that permits response to at least 2 simultaneous security situations.
• OPSEC representative adheres to instructions from Delta Operations Signature Manager, Installation Commander, or higher authority.
• Provide security officer training as needed without impacting operations.
• Additional duties as assigned, for example may include, participating with detectives or investigators in conducting surveillance operations.

Safety (Personal Protection) Requirements:

May require hard hat, safety goggles, safety shoes, ear protection, Hard toed safety shoes or boots, safety glasses or goggles, gloves, etc (as required by task)

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
