Customer Service Representative

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle transactions accurately will be key to your success in this position.

Duties

• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently using POS systems.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly manner.
• Utilize retail math skills to accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the shopping experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.
• Assist customers with inquiries about products, promotions, and store policies.
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
