Job Responsibilities
Yarde Metals is looking for truck loader/forklift material handler to join our Operations Team. A loader is responsible for safely loading finished products onto trucks for next day delivery.
- SAFETY FIRST!
- Identify material for loading by matching sales order numbers to shipping tags.
- Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes.
- Transport material from zoned areas to appropriate delivery vehicles.
- Properly load material onto trucks as to avoid shifting and damage.
- Continually adjust loads as needed.
- Move trucks in and out of loading zones.
- Verify all material is loaded.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as instructed by supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
- History of working safely and productively.
- Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
- Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers.
- Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
- Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position.
- Willingness to work required overtime.
