ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Accurately track and allocate costs to specific jobs.
  • Analyze job cost variances and provide detailed reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage cycle counting program.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Calculate and report on the percentage of completion for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare financial statements reflecting the progress of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
  • Implement audit recommendations and improve accounting processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for accounting tasks.
  • Train and support staff on accounting processes and systems.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members on accounting-related matters.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Precision in tracking costs, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Strong knowledge of accounting software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Effective communication with various departments and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data and reporting. Capability to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and improve accounting processes. Efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of relevant accounting principles and regulations, including percent completion accounting. Ability to work collaboratively with production, procurement, and other departments to optimize cost management and financial reporting. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Ability to make decisions and work independently.
