We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at Yates Home Sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably with job costing experience. This position requires an individual with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and collections.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting, including tracking and reconciliation of inventory levels, costs, and valuations.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and variance analysis to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Audits: Coordinate and assist with internal audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Financial Systems: Maintain and improve financial systems and software, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, construction, and operations, to provide financial insights and support.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Excel skills
