Zenith Quest Corporation is looking for an experienced accountant to assist in the oversight and financial growth of our corporation. The candidate that we are seeking needs to have experience in more complex accounting scenarios to include manufacturing and inventory concerns as well as international business concerns. The position has the potential to increase and decrease hours to provide flexibility.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Financial Reporting: Preparing comprehensive financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Performing detailed reconciliations of bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other key accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Month-End Close Process: Leading the month-end closing process, including journal entries, adjustments, and variance analysis.
- Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, assess profitability, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and identifying potential risks.
- Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Audit Support: Collaborating with external auditors during the audit process, preparing necessary documentation, and addressing any audit findings.
- Tax Preparation: Preparing corporate tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Team Leadership: Mentoring and training junior accountants, delegating tasks, and overseeing the accounting team's performance.
- Compliance: Staying updated on accounting regulations and ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and standards.
Required skills and qualifications for an experienced accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,664.00 - $65,988.00 per year
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
