Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee activities directly related to making products or providing services.
- Direct and coordinate activities of all departments concerned with production and distribution of products.
- Manage staff, prepares work schedules, and assigns specific duties to shop staff.
- Determine staffing requirements.
- Interview, hire, and train new employees or oversees those personnel processes.
- Review equipment and tooling annually to determine replacement or upgrade needs while improving capabilities and efficiencies.*
- Manage ongoing maintenance request procedure.*
- Guide maintenance personnel and ensures proper cadence assigned to maintenance issues.*
- Ensure all employees are properly trained on equipment and on safety standards and regularly reports to management.*
- Coach and trains employees on all correction action request forms to find root cause.*
- Work independently and/or coordinates with others and serves in a leadership role to oversee team of individuals responsible for the cylinder assembly process.*
- Responsible for process-flow manufacturing operation to ensure required materials/parts are available and ready as needed to complete order on time.*
- Manage the flow of orders scheduled and in-process.*
- Fills in on various jobs or workstations as required to cover vacations or call in's.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Office, New Cylinder, CNC, and Repair Areas. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability:

Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Made2Manage, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; or more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
Machine shop experience
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder knowledge

In addition, long hair must be tied back when around hazards of flame, machinery, or equipment.
