What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Clerk III - Clerk of Superior Court (Prescott) position at Yavapai County Government?
Under minimal supervision, performs diversified tasks in support of the operation and financial functions specific to the assigned department.
- Performs various accounts payable functions, including weekly auditing and entering invoice data, reviewing and verifying account codes, reconciling vendor statements, verifying completeness and accuracy of computations and performing data entry.
- Receives visitors and telephone inquiries and provides pertinent information.
- Maintains spreadsheets to relevant accounting data and information.
- Prepares and reconciles monthly and quarterly reports.
- Acts as a liaison between the office and facilities, and outside vendors for necessary building maintenance and equipment repairs.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in general bookkeeping, administrative work, and/or accounting.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
