What We Are Looking For

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our Ford (FBU) Engineering team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 12, 2025 to August 15, 2025.

What You Will Be Doing

• Project Work:
• Automate tasks to streamline FSS 2.0 Deliverables to both internal and external customers
• Update/create work instructions for new processes related with Toolset implementation (specific to FBU FSS 2.0)
• Support Engineering tasks – BOM Validation / Component registration / Look-Across between all FBU Programs for Print commonalities
• Success Metrics: Automating Tasks that were previously manual, Common methods for Prints between all FBU Programs
• Collaboration: Work closely with Wire Harness engineers, EDS Supervisors, Managers and Customer engineering team
  
  
What You Will Bring To The Table

• Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
• Relevant Background: Degree/experience related to the position (e.g., Pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or related field. Enrolled in 4 year degree program).
• Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Commitment: Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 12, 2025, and August 15, 2025
• Technical Skills:
• Strong communication and written skills. Problem solving skills, analytical skills. Ability to identify and assess problems.
• Experience using Visual Basic to create macros to automate tasks
• Experience with MS suite of tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint)
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
