What We Are Looking For
Yazaki is looking for a Program Manager to join our Components Business Unit team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment, making lasting impacts on the organization.
What You Will Be Doing
- Project Management: Monitor connector and termination project engineering change levels, provide regular status reports, track approval status, manage build schedules and delivery progress, schedule and lead team meetings, ensure upkeep of open issue lists and meeting minutes, effectively communicate project deliverables to the team, as well as maintain meticulous financial documentation, including margins and budget status for each project.
- Manufacturing Coordination: Direct coordination with manufacturing sites for new engineering change implementation and support the procurement of components for prototype and production delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain Quality Gates and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) documentation with QA department support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent automotive experience
- Minimum of five years of experience with wire harness and component program coordination or engineering
- Ability to resolve issues by applying creative thinking
- Exceptional organizational skills, knowledge, and experience with wiring and component manufacturing
- Understanding of APQP deliverables
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to think and act logically under pressure
- Ability to resolve issues or propose resolutions to responsible parties
- Must work independently and collaboratively
