What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Skills Development Program position at Year Up United?
Are you looking to launch a career in finance? The Financial Advisory Career Training Program at Year Up United is a one-year or less intensive job training initiative that provides young adults with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the finance industry.
This comprehensive training program includes classroom instruction, internships, and personalized mentorship. Participants will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills such as business communication, resume building, and interviewing techniques.
In addition to these skills, participants will also gain hands-on experience in the financial sector through internships with leading organizations in the Detroit area. To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Be 18-29 years old
- Have completed high school or obtained a GED
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Be available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program
- Be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills
Upon completion of the program, participants will have gained the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in finance. Interns also earn a weekly stipend of $525 during the internship phase.
