Yellow Medicine County is hiring a seasonal position (40 hours/week, Monday-Thursday) in the Highway Department (Equipment Operator or Light Equipment Operator). The position would report to either the Granite Falls or Canby highway shop. The position would be responsible for mowing road right of ways, assist in operating equipment such as tractors, trucks, loaders, asphalt rollers and related equipment that is used in care and maintenance of County roads and other duties as assigned. Minimum requirements: Any combination of education/experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in the operation and maintenance of motorized equipment and tools. Must possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license. A class A commercial driver’s license is preferred but not required. Starting pay is $18.20/hr.-$23.63/hour. DOQ.
