Counter Person

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with taking orders, handling cash transactions, and ensuring that our customers have a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess strong communication skills. Compensation includes tip-share, must be 19 to serve alcohol.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and payment handling.
• Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and assist with bussing tables as needed.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met in accordance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
• Provide support during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• opening and closing duties including cleaning , organizing, sweping and mopping

Experience

• Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or café is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash handling and operating a cash register is essential.
• Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Background in the restaurant or food industry is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
