Yellowstone Club's Snowsports department is looking for passionate and experienced Snowsports instructors for future seasons. Yellowstone Club Instructors pride themselves on providing the highest-quality lessons and ensuring enjoyable and safe experiences for members and guests. Situated in Big Sky Montana, Yellowstone Club offers 2,900 acres of Private Powder, with extensive terrain, high-quality ski conditions, in a serene relaxed atmosphere. Essential Duties And Functions

- Explain and demonstrate technical ski concepts in a safe, fun, and professional manner using a variety of interactive teaching methods based off age, learning style, and ability of the student within the guidelines of Yellowstone Club Snowsports School and PSIA/AASI.
- Teach a wide variety of lessons from first time skier’s to advanced student’s and everything in between.
- Set lesson plans based on Members and/or guests needs.
- Summarize with parents at the end of the lesson, to include reviewing skills worked on and progress made.
- Uphold the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions.
- Ensure that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level and working with supervisors/managers to make appropriate changes when necessary.
- Actively participate in our Yellowstone Club Training program to meet our training requirements.
- Maintain a current and active membership in good standing with PSIA/AASI.
- Help with completion of other on mountain tasks, including but not limited to set up and tear down of on mountain props. Building and installing interactive on mountain content.
- Assist in cleaning of locker room area.
- Read and understand all safety and operating policies and procedures. Ask a supervisor/ manager for clarification on any policy or procedure if needed.
- Current PSIA/AASI Member with minimum of PSIA Level 2
- Current PSIA/AASI Member with minimum PSIA Level 1 with Childrens Specialist 1
- Prior experience working with children and adults ages 8 and up.
- 2 Seasons instructing experience.
- Ability to ski and teach on advanced off-piste terrain.
- Must be available to work Winter break in December and President’s weekend in February
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- This role typically pays between $22.00-$45.00 per hour. Actual pay will be dependent on experience and certification.
- Automatic gratuity from $54.00 to $170.00 depending on product being taught is included on each lesson provided to Membership.
- Teaching wage, training wage and base wages for qualified roles.
- Must be able to kneel, stand, lift bend and ski for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to withstand variable outdoor conditions including but no limited to snow, ice, rain, cold temperatures and hot.
- Must be able to lift 25-50lbs.
