Position Summary
Join our 2025 Yes Energy Internship Program and enjoy the opportunity to work on exciting projects to shape your career in Energy Market Data. The intern position will perform technical tasks to support our real-time data pipelines. As an intern in our Data Operations team, you will apply your technical skills in several areas, including data engineering, analyzing the health of data pipelines, building complex tests, and understanding how our North American power grid works.

18.00 / hr - 1st year Intern
19.00 / hr - 2nd year Intern
20.00 / hr - 3rd year Intern
21.00 / hr - 4th year Intern
Reports to : Technical Product Owner
The intern will learn and be exposed to
Hands-on experience writing SQL & beginner PL / SQL
Data aggregation and materialization of time series data
How to write purposeful tests while developing code
Acquire knowledge of Agile project management methodologies
Project Work
Analyze and define data trends and metrics for real-time data pipelines
Research and create alerting mechanisms for data abnormalities
Create automated and standardized tests to enhance development quality
Automating current manual tasks
Requirements
Interest in Energy Markets
Basic understanding of relational databases
A strong desire to learn, grow, and explore new things
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or an equivalent field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Key Responsibilities
Define and write development tests and data verification tests
Categorization and attribution of energy market data
Attend daily agile stand-ups to communicate work progress

Intern Recruitment Process
Applications will close on February 2nd. We will contact candidates in late February to early March to conduct screen interviews, and final candidates can expect final interviews by late March.
Salary : $21
