THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic Director of Student Recruitment with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, build transformative relationships, and eliminate educational inequities to advance social justice.
To put it simply, you will provide critical leadership and strategy to ensure that all YES Prep campuses are 100% enrolled on the first day of school.
THE ROLE
Lead student recruitment to fill the total number of seats with at least a 2:1 application ratio
- Overseeing new lead follow up for every single lead via tracking and system management;
- Leading vendor management with customer relationship management system, HubSpot, to ensure service level agreements are sustained to ensure that recruitment processes are efficient;
- Ensure we have a stellar ground game to attract new families to YES Prep;
- Serve as the lead recruiter for the organization with a best in class pitch, presence and commitment to filling every single seat.
People Management
- Managing Student Recruitment Coordinators, who are responsible for achieving application, lead follow up and acceptance goals;
- Building and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders within YES Prep (marketing, campus leadership, C-Suite, etc.) to create an aligned onboarding process for new students;
- Observe Recruiters pitching and cultivating families for YES Prep.
Project Management and Strategy
- Creating and implementing the student recruitment strategic plan to meet critical enrollment targets;
- Manage run rates for all campuses;
- Project managing student recruitment and enrollment efforts across YES schools to meet organizational enrollment goals;
- Training, collaborating with, and ensuring accountability of school-based staff to ensure the successful execution of recruitment activities and procedures;
- Auditing campus recruitment practices;
- Meeting with school leaders and Directors of School Operations to inform and drive student recruitment progress;
- Develop key metrics in conjunction with the Analytics team to track and analyze all data regarding student application recruitment benchmarks and goals;
- Providing regular updates on progress towards goals;
- Additional duties as assigned.
THE PERSON
THE MUST HAVES
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- At least 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in K-12 student recruitment
- Demonstrated results in achieving student recruitment/sales goals
- Strong cultural competency skills, including the ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population
- Exceptional project management skills, with an ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an energetic attitude; ability to successfully engage, cultivate, and steward relationships with community members and organizational partners effectively and quickly build rapport
- Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work in a dynamic environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Highly-motivated and self-starter / self-directed learner with a "whatever it takes" attitude to work independently and as a team player
- Service-oriented, able to adapt to a changing environment while applying flexibility to work under pressure and remain calm in the midst of competing demands
- Proficiency in Office 365, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies (SchoolMint, video conferencing apps, etc.)

THE NICE TO HAVES
- Strongly prefer fluency in spoken and written Spanish
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems such as Salesforce

- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20 hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
