What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Science, Math, ELA, or History Teacher position at Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael of Atlanta?
Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael is an all-boys private high school offering a classical Jewish education together with a fully-accredited college-preparatory general studies program. The enrollment is about 70 students with class sizes around 15 students or less. Our school schedule accommodates a dual curriculum with Jewish Studies in the morning and the General Studies classes taught in the afternoon. We are a tight-knit community based institution. We are looking for qualified Math, Science, ELA, and History teachers for our afternoon program, Monday-Thursday from 2:30PM to 6:30PM.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson planning
- Maintain timely and accurate records using our LMS
- Participate in curriculum night and parent-teacher conferences (2-3 nights per year)
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development workshops (scheduled in advance)
- Use of Google Classroom technology
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents
Qualifications Required:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, Master’s Degree is a plus
- Knowledge of Georgia Standards of Excellence for Math, ELA, Science, or History; grades 9-12
- Passion for imparting subject skills to the next generation
- Excellent Classroom Management strategies
- Teaching certification or state approved equivalent
Salary is based on experience and professional credentials.
Salary : $40,000 - $55,000
