Shape the Future of Rabbinic Leadership
The Director of Recruitment plays a pivotal role in inspiring and empowering the next
generation of dynamic YCT rabbinic leaders.
Position Overview
This role centers on recruiting exceptional talent for the Beit Midrash and Semikha
programs. The Director will identify and engage passionate, skilled candidates by
harnessing the strength of YCT’s students and alumni, cultivating organizational
partnerships, and fostering meaningful personal connections to develop a robust
pipeline of future Torah leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Be the Face of YCT: Travel nationwide to recruit talent, represent YCT at key
events, and promote its vision. Serve as a dynamic ambassador, building
connections and positioning YCT as a leader in Torah leadership and training.
Leverage Student & Alumni Networks: Mobilize YCT alumni and current
students to serve as ambassadors and tappers.
Cultivate and Strengthen Pipelines: Develop new recruitment channels while
enhancing relationships with feeder institutions. Partner with like-minded
organizations to expand YCT’s reach and influence.
Guide Prospective Students: Provide hands-on mentorship throughout the
admissions journey, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
Your Skills & Attributes
Relationship Building:
Natural ability and desire to connect meaningfully with all kinds of people.
Passionate Advocate for Rabbis:
Exude a passion for the Rabbinate, with the ability to speak knowledgeably and
excitedly about the field. Being a rabbi is a plus but not required.
Entrepreneurial Mindset:
Identify and seize opportunities for growth and development of strategy.
Effective Communicator:
Do timely, rigorous and regular follow-up to maintain momentum and
relationships so no opportunity is missed.
Influential Networker:
Bring at least three years of experience in Jewish non-profits and a robust
network within the Modern Orthodox and broader Jewish community—or are
energized to cultivate one quickly.Salary & Benefits
Compensation: $90,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience.
