This posting is for a group leader position at the Hildebran Elementary YMCA site.
Group leaders must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma.
Hours are Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm and some mornings 6am-7:30am.
Group leaders are responsible for engaging groups of children with ages varying from 5-12 years old. Groups are generally between 10-15 children, depending on their ages. Site directors prepare activities for the day and group leaders do the activities with the children. Group leaders take groups to the playground, gym, and classroom to do group games, crafts, snack, and other activities. This is a fun and rewarding job that doesn't require working at night or on the weekends!!! We train you and pay for your certifications.
They YMCA also offers competitive pay, ranging from $11-13.00 an hour for group leaders, 12% retirement after 2 years of service or 1,000 working hours (even for part time), free professional development opportunities, and the ability to move into full time positions and move up within the Y!
This position requires fun, energetic individuals who love to play and have fun but are also responsible, respectful, and caring.
