We are looking for fun, creative and engaging individuals to join our camp family for the Summer of 2022. 1. Under the supervision of the Camp Director, Camp Counselors are responsible for supervising and leading a group of 10-20 campers through a high quality day camp experience with their peers while identifying and meeting camper needs, and maintaining YMCA day camp standards and DPH standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Desire and Ability to work with children indoors and outdoors
· Ability to teach an activity

· High School graduate or equivalent and at least 18 years of age
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to supervise children by sight and sound.
- Must be able to move quickly to react to safety issues in the setting (i.e.: aggressive behavior, unsafe play)
- Must remain calm, objective and respectful in potentially stressful situations (i.e.: crying or upset child, upset parent or staff).
- Must be flexible and willing to adjust to change.’
- Must be able to move around the room to assist and supervise children.
- Must be able to develop and foster cooperative relationships.
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to use hands, fingers and arms, as well as, be able to talk and hear.
SHIFTS:
M-F 7:30am-4:15pm
