The Twin Lakes Family YMCA in Cedar Park, TX is now accepting applications for energetic, dependable and engaging individuals to work as a Spanish Specialty Instructor in our ChildWatch Department. As a Spanish Specialty Instructor, you will lead engaging, age-appropriate classes for children ages 4 through adult. You’ll play a key role in fostering language skills while creating a welcoming and positive classroom experience. Candidates must be comfortable working with children and families and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

As a Spanish Specialty Instructor, you will lead engaging, age-appropriate classes for children ages 4 through adult. Key Responsibilities
- Lead at least one Spanish language class per week
- Greet and assist members and participants with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Provide outstanding customer service and classroom management
- Deliver age-appropriate, interactive, and culturally rich activities
- Support other ChildWatch programs as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure a high-quality experience for all families
- One class per week required
- Available between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (day may vary depending on availability)
- Hours may vary depending on class enrollment
- Punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Fluent in Spanish (required)
- At least one year of teaching or specialty instruction experience preferred
- Must be at least 17 years old (18 preferred)
- Experience working with children (ages 4 and up)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic setting
- Must pass background check, reference checks, sex offender screening, and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to teach or willingness to learn cooking, sewing, crafts, or painting to enhance class offerings
