Rate of pay: $15.00 – $21.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative and creative workshops, activities, and special events for T.H.R.I.V.E, Summer Camp, AND Extended Hours programing.
- Supervise participants and always ensure their safety and welfare.
- Supervise program specific staff and volunteers.
- Work cooperatively with leadership and frontline staff.
- Participate in field trips and out of building activities.
- Acquaint participants with rules, activities, daily schedules, and program routines.
- Interact and communicate with parents/guardians during drop-off, pick-up, and around special events.
- Assist in organizing projects, events, and special events.
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly used and maintained.
- Attend and complete all staff paperwork and training.
- Follow pre-planned schedules and arrive on time to set activities.
- Report all injuries immediately and fill out appropriate forms.
- Assist in meeting and maintaining YMCA standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 70 college credits in fields of business, administration, education, communication, or other related fields plus two years of management experience.
- Twenty-four months of experience working with school-age children or teens in a group setting.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Certification required within 30 days of hire: CPR, AED, and First Aid
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multi-lingual skills.
- Associates degree in fields of Youth Development, Social Work, Administration or related fields.
- Additional coursework or training in program management or youth development.
