Health Monitoring And Medical Care
- Review and maintain health records for all campers and staff, ensuring all medical histories and required forms are up to date.
- Administer first aid, medication, and treatment for minor injuries, illnesses, or conditions that arise during camp activities.
- Coordinate the care and management of any campers with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, allergies, diabetes) and ensure their medical needs are addressed throughout the camp session.
- Maintain proper documentation for all medical treatments and injuries.
- Conduct daily health checks for campers and staff, including monitoring for illnesses, injuries, or any changes in health.
- Assess and review camper health and wellness status, including physical and emotional well-being.
- Oversee the distribution and management of medications, ensuring that all campers and staff receive their prescribed medications as needed.
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency care in the event of an injury or medical emergency.
- Oversee the handling of emergency situations, including coordination with external medical services (e.g., ambulances or hospitals) if needed.
- Ensure that emergency protocols are clearly communicated and followed by camp staff.
Nursing Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience in pediatric nursing or camp health is a plus.
- Ability to assess and treat a variety of common camp-related injuries and illnesses.
- Strong understanding of pediatric care, medication management, and emergency response.
- Multi-lingual skills
Salary : $44
