Rate of pay: $15.00 – $19.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Lawn Maintenance:
- Mow grass, trim edges, and ensure that all lawns are maintained to a neat and professional standard.
- Operate lawnmowers, weed whackers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Ensure grass areas are free of debris, clippings, and other hazards.
Landscaping & Groundskeeping:
- Maintain garden beds, flowerpots, shrubs, and trees by pruning, weeding, and planting as necessary.
- Water plants and ensure their proper care throughout the season.
- Mulch and fertilize garden areas when required.
General Grounds Care:
- Keep paths, walkways, and camp areas free of debris and clutter.
- Maintain camp outdoor facilities, ensuring areas like picnic tables, benches, and playgrounds are clean and inviting.
- Help with the setup and takedown of the outdoor structures or decorations for special camp events or activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
- Previous experience with lawn maintenance and landscaping preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely operate lawnmowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Knowledge of basic gardening and plant care techniques.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-lingual skills
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
