What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Literacy Infusion Instructor position at YMCA of Greater Charlotte?
Under the direction of the Association Director of Academic Initiatives and consistent with the mission of the YMCA, the Summer Literacy Instructor will be responsible for planning and implementing literacy based activities in youth programs, training and coaching staff to lead literacy activities, and ensuring that programs adhere to all fidelity markers and result in target outcomes.

Essential Functions
• Plan and facilitate literacy-based activities with program participants
• Collect and enter data required for assigned programs
• Provide feedback, modeling and coaching for staff to ensure program fidelity markers are met
• Provide ongoing communication with families regarding literacy programming
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or similar field required
• Minimum 3 years of K-5 teaching experience required
• Must be able to work collaboratively with diverse group of staff and participants
• Interest in coaching and developing staff
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrate professionalism in all circumstances and with all stakeholders
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs and circumstances
• Training and certifications required by the Program Quality Standards within allotted timeframe
All YMCA team members are expected to maintain a current and active status for all safety, risk, and
programming certifications defined by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience mentoring or coaching other adults preferred
