Community Executive Director
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is looking for a Community Executive to focus on transforming lives and championing engagement efforts as they lead the Powel Crosley YMCA. You will accomplish this by helping others achieve goals, make new friends & connect with our Y community, as you lead branch operations.
Salary range is $78,000-$88,000/year. Benefits for FT employees include free family membership, health & dental insurance, program discounts, and optional retirement savings plan.
Responsibilities:
- Uses effective and persuasive communication skills to represent and deepen the Y’s connection in the communities served in order to maximize impact. Builds bridges within community to ensure access for all.
- Under the direction of the Advancement Department, provides leadership to philanthropic and community partnership efforts. Major donor portfolio management.
- Recruits key organizational partners and maintains diverse Branch Advisory Board in order to support and promote shared goals and meet social needs of community.
- Applies principles of stewardship to grow finances to maximize impact for sustainability. Effectively communicates a compelling, cause-driven vision inspiring others to accomplish the mission and cause.
- Engages in and champions ongoing feedback, coaching and opportunities for informal and formal learning at all staff levels of branch. Mentors staff by providing guidance and resources for success.
- Designs practices, processes and procedures for strong project management organizing people and activities efficiently and effectively and measure progress against strategic goals. Continually evaluate for improvement utilizing Six Sigma DMAIC.
- Develop and implement plans to recruit, train and utilize highly effective and committed volunteers in a variety of ways.
- Utilize various social media tools to share personal journey in order to connect with members, mobilize community, inspiring and educating change.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, Masters preferred
- Six (6) years of management, community engagement, & financial growth experience.
- Possess a proven track record of meeting/surpassing challenging goals.
- A proven agent of collaborative systems change.
- Excellent contemporary presentation, written, and visual communication skills.
- Experience with volunteer board development and fundraising preferred.
