Director of Wellness Experience
Join our team as our new Director of Wellness Experience, responsible to direct wellness experience and culture, including schedules, class participation, Y wellness programs, group exercise and wellness facility aesthetics, personal training, small group cross-functional training, and the overall wellness ethos.
Salary range is $53,000 - $59,000/year. Benefits for FT employees include free family membership, health & dental insurance, program discounts, and optional retirement savings plan.
Responsibilities:
- Increase the retention of members through the delivery of a new, 90-day onboarding experience, which includes: inspirational and motivational communication plans (email, social, text), launching the STRONG90 app, and new member ABR wellness assessments.
- Lead, with the collaboration of branch leaders, small group formation including group-ex initiatives, volunteer opportunities, “Communiversity” Partnership and Y Groups using the Amplo Platform.
- External (community) and internal wellness communication “influencer” and voice to inspire all to achieve goals, make friends and belong to a cause. Outlets may include blogs, social media, vlogs, etc.
- In collaboration with 3rd party digital solution company, co-launch STRONG90 app that will equip members and YMCA staff to achieve goals, make friends, and find higher purpose in their first 90 days.
- Provide insights and analysis to branch executives and senior leadership team on (NPS) Wellness experience utilizing Qualtrix, Listen360, Y360, Group Ex Pro, Daxko and STRONG90 data collection.
- Collaborate with the Director of Volunteerism in influencing and growing volunteerism through wellness initiatives and onboarding program.
- Assist the SVP of the Y experience in advancing corporate membership and wellness programs/challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in exercise science, kinesiology, nutrition or physical education preferred.
- 3-5 years experience working within a Wellness/Fitness department, Group Exercise instructor supervisory experience, a record of delivering excellent personal training management and instruction.
- Possess current nationally recognized fitness certifications (i.eACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, NSPA).
- Possess strong leadership and knowledge in Wellness/Group Exercise environments.
- Team player that is a strategic thinker/influencer/innovator in the wellness space.
- Able to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills, public speaking, capacity to prepare reports, conduct training programs, create policies and guidelines, proven financial development experience and skills.
