Position Summary:
Assists in the organization and coordination of the nursery department, after hours events, and rental coordination for the YMCA Branch.

Essential Functions:
- Focuses on multiple projects across departments and completes projects to enhance member experience and support branch staff.
- Acts as primary contact for rental needs of the Downtown Dayton YMCA
- Works with other department directors to create accurate facility schedules.
- Creates and distributes contract information in a timely manner and follows up with renters to guarantee that deadlines and due dates are met.
- Assists in the implementation of the special events.
- Maintains accurate records for the facility and staff.
- Develops effective relationships with current guests and solicits new guests on a year-round basis
- Provides excellent customer service to all guests including contact prior to their visit and follow-up.
- Works with groups to provide accommodations to meet the renter’s individual needs
- Acts as director on duty when needed.
- Provides building supervision in all areas of the YMCA:
- Ensures correct and proper procedures are being followed by all staff on duty
- Checks that staff members are in their correct locations
- Takes the lead in emergency situations
- Offers information to members as needed
- Informs program staff of problems arising in their areas
- Calls for subs for areas that are not staffed
- Coordinates programming schedules for youth and adult programming
- Coordinates teen program activities with Youth and Teen Development Director.
- Develops and provides oversight of Family Life programs.
- Promotes programs by development and distribution of marketing materials in compliance with association standards.
- Works within budgeted guidelines as outlined by the Branch Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. A 2-year college degree or applicable experience is strongly preferred.
- 1 year minimum of office administration and customer service required.
- 1 year minimum of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, insurable driver’s record according to the YMCA’s insurance carriers, and have reliable transportation to travel for business meetings, training events, YMCA site visits, vendors and suppliers, etc.
- Computer skills needed, particularly with Microsoft Office and email applications, along with ability to learn the internal YMCA software.
Salary : $15 - $18
