Responsibilities
The Jorgensen Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and reliable Pool Attendant to join our team. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Pool Attendant is responsible for performing duties that assist in the proper supervision and security of the aquatic facility.
- Serve: Working with the lifeguards to always maintain diligent and constant surveillance of the water and pool deck areas.
- Care: Ensure safe, clean, and secure conditions for the indoor/outdoor pools and surrounding areas.
- Lead: Enforce all aquatics rules and policies fairly and consistently.
Requirements
Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- Must be at least 16 years of age with reliable transportation to and from work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent human relations skills.
- Friendly, helpful attitude.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Salary: $11.50
Hours Available: 11:00am-4:00pm, 3pm-8:00pm
