Responsibilities
The Parkview Family YMCA is hiring for a Summer Day Camp Coordinator to work the Summer 2025 Day Camp Season. The Coordinator helps to develop curriculum, purchase snacks and supplies, supervise staff, and make site visits to day campsites as needed. The coordinator will assist the Childcare Services Director with a variety of other office duties.
- Connect Be able to work well with the day camp staff to be a positive support to their sites.
- Create: Create program content and maintain site records while promoting the program.
- Lead: Good communication, accounting, and organizational skills.
Requirements
Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- Minimum of 18 years of age, with one year of college or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in supervision preferred.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a summer day camp coordinator.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Salary: Part-time $15.75 - $16.25 hourly
Hours Available: Monday-Friday, 11:00 am - 6:15 pm from May 1, 2025 - August 1, 2025.
