Relationship Skills:

- Able to care for and nurture infants, toddlers, school age children
- Able to build genuine relationships with children, parents, and coworkers
- Able to provide and create a welcoming atmosphere that is people centered and service oriented, standing and greeting members by name
- Be open, friendly and approachable to children and parents
- Able to assist in the supervision of the Birthday Party Attendant Team
- Must work weekends!
Service Skills:
- Punctual, reliable, creative, and a self-starter
- Performs both check in and checkout procedures
- Provides excellent and genuine care for infants, toddlers, and school age children
- Responsible for the health, welfare and safety of the children in the Birthday Party
- Provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere; maintain center cleanliness, sanitation, organization and appearance
- Build and maintain open communication with children, parents, director and other staff
- Assist in leading all required staff meetings and trainings
- Ability to lead organized age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities
- Have monthly staff schedule available to be published by the 22nd of each month
Member Involvement Skills:
- Be knowledgeable about program areas and share information with members
- Be knowledgeable about the YMCA, its programs and policies
- Take specific actions to move members to more connected and committed relationships with the YMCA
- Responsible for creating organized age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities
- Ability to lead a shift and ensure all policies & procedures are being implemented
- Responsible for monthly staff work schedule
- Assist with on boarding, training, and coaching of new and existing staff
- Provide input on hiring, termination and performance evaluations of Birthday Party Attendants
STATUS: Part Time, Non-Exempt
STARTING SALARY: $12.50/Hr.
