We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Group Fitness Instructor to lead safe, effective, and engaging fitness classes for older adults. The ideal candidate will help participants improve strength, flexibility, and mobility in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead fitness classes tailored for seniors, focusing on strength, balance, and flexibility.
- Provide modifications to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities.
- Ensure participant safety and foster a positive class atmosphere.
- Maintain class schedules and equipment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least age 18 years
- Certification in senior fitness or group fitness (e.g., AFAA, ACE, or equivalent).
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate and lead group exercise classes to a diverse group of participants
- First Aid, CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire date

- Blood borne Pathogen Online Training
- Notify Healthy Living Director within 60 days before First Aid, CPR/AED expiration date. The YMCA provides First Aid, CPR/AED recertification classes.
