POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- The Cook is responsible for dividing the food (breakfast and lunch) into serving dishes for classrooms.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to; providing a clean safe and secure environment by cleaning the kitchen, sweep the floors, mop, windows, laundry, as well as maintaining positive relations and communications with families, partnership agencies and program staff.
- Ensures that the cleanliness of the kitchen meets program standards as well as Oklahoma Department of Human Service Licensing Regulations, N.A.E.Y.C. guideline, Oklahoma City/County Health Department and the Federal School Lunch licensing regulations.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a command of spoken and written English to serve as a language role model.
- Must be certified by the Red Cross in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid.
- Obtain Food Handlers Certification and update as needed.
- Follow Child Abuse Report Guidelines.
- Meet all Health Department Guidelines.
- Meet all Oklahoma Department of Human Service Licensing Regulations.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working in a kitchen.
- Excellent organizational skills required.
- Ability to provide a positive, nurturing environment for children required.
- Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours.
- Ability to provide superior customer service required.
