Job Title: Dance Instructor
Position Summary: Our dance program teaches participants various styles of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, ballroom, and belly dance. We are seeking a qualified instructor to lead classes and create a fun, safe environment for students to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with members, making them feel welcome and addressing them by name.
• Identify and assist new participants.
• Stay updated on current programs and schedules to enhance member satisfaction.
• Create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Ensure the health and safety of individuals during class, adhering to national and state standards.
• Perform first aid when necessary and report accidents/injuries.
• Set up/break down equipment as needed.
• Attend at least 80% of staff meetings.
• Model core values: Respect, Honesty, Caring, and Responsibility.
• Pursue professional development through workshops, courses, and reading materials.
• Maintain accurate participant records/attendance.
• Find class coverage or communicate with the supervisor to cancel class.
• Instruct age-appropriate classes using relevant music and choreograph routines within class.
• Participate in special events, such as Spirit Day and the Annual Recital.

Requirements:

• The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• A high school diploma (GED) is preferred.
• The minimum age requirement is 18 years.
• Proof of teaching experience or willingness to train.
