The Powhatan Family YMCA is looking for an experienced, motivated, and reliable assistant swim team coach to mentor and encourage the members of our swim team. This position starts at $15.00 per hour.
DUTIES of Assistant Swim Team Coach
This position is responsible for providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support to our swim team. Focus should be on creating a safe and fun environment. An Assistant Coach will provide support to and follow the primary and head coach's direction. Assistant Coaches are expected to help to facilitate practices 1-4 nights a week.
QUALIFICATIONS Of Assistant Swim Team Coach
Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid and YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification are required as well as the ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle). YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI, current O2 certification, and competitive swimming experience are desired.
