What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Program Assistant position at YMCA of Greater Richmond?
The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is currently seeking energetic and responsible individuals to work as Camp Counselors for our summer day camp programs. This part time position starts at $14.00 per hour. As a YMCA Employee you also get a Free Gym Membership.
DUTIES of a Camp Counselor
. Interpret, communicate, and promote Y mission, goals, and objectives to department employees, volunteer leaders, members, and the community.
2. Responsible for the well-being of campers while providing a safe, engaging environment for them through games, conversations, activities led by specialists, and more.
3. All staff will receive pre-camp training to ensure they have the knowledge and expertise to work with their campers.
4. Will lead and facilitate games and activities for a group of campers.
QUALIFICATIONS of a Camp Counselor
Successful candidates must be 16 years old and can have less than six months experience in childcare.
