The Greater Richmond YMCA is currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, team-oriented professional to help lead community outreach efforts for various YMCA locations within the Greater Richmond region.
Duties:
The Director of Community Outreach supports the Association's Strategic Plan creating a place for all people to thrive through programs, partnerships, and volunteer experiences that foster achievement, relationships and belonging. This position will specialize in one Impact Area (Drowning Prevention, Enriching Learning and Advancing Whole Health), driving meaningful change through targeted programming. This position will develop, supervise, and evaluate after school enrichment and other outreach programs, fostering strong connections with participants and families. Responsibilities include leading programming/support within the assigned community, in partnership with schools and other organizations. Collaboration with business line teams to monitor and report results and align with organizational priorities will be essential.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
- Must have two years of experience in community engagement
- Strong programming and previous supervisory experience are highly desirable
- Candidates must possess strong organizational abilities and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities and interpersonal skills are required
- Strong computer skills are required, with previous budgeting experience desired
- In order to best serve the needs of our Y members and communities, applicants must be able to work a varied schedule with some evening and weekend work

Salary: Starting salary is $50,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
