Job title: Senior Program Director, Speer YMCA

Description: Reporting to the Branch Executive, the Senior Program Director is a key leadership role at the Speer YMCA, responsible for driving and enhancing branch-wide membership engagement and retention, in alignment with the mission of the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg. This position will oversee the development of staff, programs, finances and daily operations of departments and programs to include Membership, Youth and Family Events and senior programing.

Essential Functions:

• Hires, trains, coaches and manages staff in assigned areas to include the Youth and Family Director, Membership Coordinator and front desk team members.
• Ensures successful membership engagement, school relationships, and volunteer management.
• Responsible for developing and implementing campaigns and activities to keep members engaged and reduce attrition.
• Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner; effectively handles member issues and concerns.
• In partnership with Marketing, assists in the development and implementation of membership campaigns.
• Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote the YMCA.
• Analyzes data, systems and processes to recognize member usage growth and retention opportunities.
• Creates and implements new innovative activities to increase member usage and decrease attrition.
• implements innovative solutions to enhance member satisfaction.
• Develops and manages budget for assigned areas, monitoring performance against revenue and expense targets.
• Ensures proper implementation of front desk procedures. Reviews and updates desk procedures and communicates changes to staff.
• Creates and manages front desk schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to YMCA standards.
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding goals in program and service enrollments, Listen 360 scores, and overall member retention.
• Participates as required by branch leadership in MOD building coverage
• Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and other special events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of business education and/or experience.
• Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency
• Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising
• Proven supervisory skills in recruiting, training, evaluating, and motivating staff and volunteers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• High skill level in organizing, planning, time management and implementation of administrative procedures.
• Ability to work as a positive team player to provide support to membership staff team.
• Required within 30 days of hire: CPR; First Aid; AED.
• Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software

Salary and Benefits: Salary range 62-66k, commensurate with experience, along with excellent benefits including health, dental, vision & life insurance, facility usage, before and after school child care, generous paid time off and YMCA-paid retirement upon eligibility.
