What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mack Pool Concessions Manager position at YMCA OF INDIANA COUNTY?
Do you have food service experience and looking for a summer job with up to 40 hours per week. The Y of Indiana County is looking for a seasonal employee to manage Mack Park Pool Concessions. The Concessions Manager will function as a working manager who will be involved in food prep, operating equipment, and selling concessions products in compliance with all applicable codes and in accordance with YMCA of the USA guidelines.
KNOWLEDGE – SKILLS - ABILITIES:
- The Mack Park Concession Manager must be at least 21 years old.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast paced food industry.
- Minimum of 1 year with supervising experience.
- Must possess or obtain the Serve Safe certification for handling food safely.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise staff
- Maintain appropriate records and see to maintaining the quality of the concession area.
- Responsible for tracking and ordering inventory.
- Follow established procedures and execute sound judgement in routines not covered by standard procedure.
- Oversee and manage concession area including dealing with the public when problems arise.
- Operate Concessions equipment and maintain safety standard.
- Prepare and sell concessions products in compliance with applicable codes in accordance with YMCA of the USA guidelines and state guidelines.
- Responsible for safe handling of all monies and will be responsible for learning our POS system to maintain accurate sales records and prepare report for concessions and give to designated Mack Pool.
- Approve timesheets for concession area and at the end of the two week pay period according to established schedule.
- Maintain an appropriate concessions environment as defined by the PA Safe Serve requirements. Responsible for facility cleanliness and maintenance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical
Position requires lifting at least 35 pounds on a regular basis and exert up to 50 pounds of occasionally for force in moving objects.
Position requires reaching above the shoulders, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, stoop, crawl, crouch, climb, balance, reach, push, pull lift, grasp, feel, hear, and have visual acuity.
Individuals must be able to work on a variety of surfaces including cement floors, tile floors, carpeted floors, mulch, wood, and rubberized surfaces. Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
Auditory – (Hearing Requirements)
- Ability to hear voices, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds to communicate, answer phones and respond to alarms/emergencies.
Visual Requirements
- Requires good color, depth, and field of vision (with or without correction) to distinguish objects from one another, detect and visually follow moving objects.
Hazardous Conditions/Materials Exposure
- Frequent exposure to outdoor elements
- Frequent exposure to hot surfaces.
