The Membership Director plays a key role in building meaningful relationships with members of the community while ensuring the growth and success of this membership base and the staff team. This position involves not only leading the membership service representative team of approximately 25-35 individuals, but needs a focus on member engagement, staff development, and assisting with operational goals. We are seeking a dedicated and task-oriented leader who excels in these areas of staff management, member engagement, and day-to-day operations. Member Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members.
- Implement strategies to increase member retention, satisfaction, and engagement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for member inquiries and feedback, ensuring excellent customer service.

Staff Management & Leadership:
- Lead, supervise and inspire a dedicated membership team to meet operational goals and maintain high service standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and encourage professional development.
- Schedule, assign tasks, and ensure staff is adequately trained and prepared to meet operational needs.

Hiring & Training:
- Oversee the hiring process for membership staff, ensuring a team of qualified and motivated individuals.
- Lead the onboarding and training of new staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver exceptional member experiences.

Implement ongoing training to ensure the team remains knowledgeable about programs, customer service, and YMCA policies.

Task-Oriented & Goal-Driven:
- Set and track performance goals for the membership team, focusing on achieving membership growth and retention targets.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the membership department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Handle administrative duties, including membership data management, payroll, reports, and communication with other departments.
